- 802.11
Written documents or standards formed by members of the IEEE to help wireless LAN manufacturers develop interoperable wireless products.
- 802.11a
A wireless networking standard used for Wi-Fi devices. This standard specifies the use of the 5-GHz frequency band and data rates up to 54 Mbps. It is not interoperable with any other wireless networking standard.
- 802.11b
A wireless networking standard used for Wi-Fi devices. This standard specifies the use of the 2.4-GHz frequency band and data rates up to 11 Mbps. It is interoperable with 802.11g.
- 802.11g
A wireless networking standard used for Wi-Fi devices. This standard specifies the use of the 2.4-GHz frequency band and data rates up to 54 Mbps. It is interoperable with 802.11b.
