2.1 Methods of Measuring Energy Consumption

When buying a car, most of us will at some point consider the fuel economy, in either miles per gallon or litres per 100 km. We may then decide that it is not really that important in making our purchasing decision, but at least we’ll have a reasonable idea of how offen the tank will need to be filled, and how much this will cost each time. This is because fuel is a major cost in running a car and the fuel gauge is highly visible.
