This chapter covers the setup and configuration of VMware’s vCenter and licensing your ESX hosts. vCenter is the most common method of managing many ESX servers and the virtual machines that run on them. I will also explain how vCenter enables you to organize your virtual infrastructure in a way that facilitates administration and delegation of responsibility. Additionally, I will discuss the configuration of vCenter in terms of its own fault tolerance.
