Ways to Customize Outlook
Outlook has an object model that consists of 158 objects. The object model has been greatly expanded in Outlook 2007 with more than 90 new objects and more than 4,000 properties and methods—more than double the size of the object model in Outlook 2003. With the expansion of the object model, there is no longer a need to use additional object models such as the Collaboration Data Objects (CDO) and Exchange Client Extensions. Therefore, this edition of the book no longer covers those additional object models.
