18. Modeling with Agility
THIS CHAPTER INTRODUCES Agile Modeling, which is an approach to modeling that is more about helping teams to model effectively than prescribing the sorts of models they should produce. It is defined by a number of values, principles, and practices which we present at the start of the chapter, before explaining how members of an Agile team can apply them when they engage in modeling activities, either as a group or while pair programming. The chapter concludes by describing how such modeling fits into the iterative life cycle of an Agile team through a process called Agile Model-Driven Development (AMDD).
