CHAPTER 4SYNCHRONOUS AND ASYNCHRONOUS COMMUNICATION ENVIRONMENTS
When it comes time to plan your virtual presentation, you can choose to conduct it in one of two ways: synchronously or asynchronously. A phone call is an example of a synchronous communication. Both parties can hear and respond to each other right then and there. E-mail is an example of asynchronous, or one-way, communication. You can ask a colleague a question at 8 a.m. and review her response at 8 p.m. that night.
