Although there are many workflows for editing video, for purposes of this chapter we’re going to follow a Timeline Edit workflow, where media is edited directly on the timeline instead of using the Trimmer tool (explained later in this book).
Drag media from the Vegas Explorer to the Timeline area. Video will go to a video track, audio will go to an audio track.
Vegas Movie Studio opens with three video and three audio tracks. It will auto-route files to their correct track format. Vegas Pro will auto-generate video/audio tracks when the first media clip/event is needed. ...
