Movie-Making Basics

Editing is only one piece of the puzzle in what goes into making a good movie, no matter if it’s a commercial, a home video, or a feature-length film. First off, you can’t make a movie without some type of recorded video. Okay, you can technically do this by using only still images in your movie, but that would make for a pretty boring movie (unless you’re a gifted documentarian like Ken Burns).
