A survey of gender budgeting efforts
I. Introduction
This chapter surveys gender budgeting in selected emerging markets and developing countries. Mexico, Morocco, and Ukraine have achieved notable success in their efforts to establish gender budgeting policies and programs. In addition, Argentina, Brazil, and Chile have achieved significant fiscal policy reforms in reaching gender-equality and anti-poverty goals, albeit outside the framework of gender budgeting.
