PARTTWO
Evolve Your Inner Leader
You are now armed with an incredible amount of self-knowledge that you have discovered in Part One. How does it feel to be so in tune with who you are and what you do? In any situation, with any level of person, and without hesitation, you can talk about yourself in a manner that is succinct, understandable, and powerful. Your Inner Leader is smiling.
Now on to Part Two. In this part, we are going to put all those great Inner Leadership aspects to work. Once you read and do the exercises in this part, you will have the knowledge, confidence, and empowerment to:
- Enhance and effectively increase productivity
- Delegate, not drop, your work
- Work less and do more
- Use your personal language to communicate powerfully
- Understand what a mentor can do for you and how to get one
- Become a networking master and actually enjoy it
- Understand what you want to be known for and begin to build your Leadership Legacy
The exercises in Part Two will be different from Part One's; they will be about changing the way that you work with others. Keep in mind the Change Model (see Figure 1.1) as you look to become more aware and more accepting to make the choice to make the change. Just as in Part One, these exercises will be difficult, and they are designed to help you make the changes that you need to profoundly unleash your authentic Inner Leader.
Go ahead; take the plunge into the pool of allowing your Inner Leader to show. For the first time you might surprise yourself ...
