Hues that are opposite to each other in some sense

Complementary colors—sometimes referred to as opposite colors or opposing hues—are one of the most contentious concepts in traditional color theory. Sometimes complementary colors are said to be colors (hues) that are opposite to each other on the color wheel, but unfortunately, there are many different versions of color wheels and they do not all show the same hues as complementary.
