The act of putting something in a particular point in space.

The placement of objects in a space is driven by program, adjacency, function, and orientation. Although it is often not possible to control the siting of an interior, designers can strategically choose the placement of program and its components depending on the orientation to daylight, access to circulation, or proximity to openings and apertures.
