The combination of parts that makes a project feel whole.

Unity refers to the combination of all the elements of a design successfully working together in a cohesive way. Although it is often equated with harmony (which means agreement or accord), unity is a separate notion; it is considered the underlying principle that sums up all the cohesive elements of a design project. In an interior, one of the goals of a design is to attempt to bring together the many elements of a project in a coherent and consistent design statement—in other words, to achieve a sense of unity.
