As an academician, Shrawan Kumar Singh has experience in teaching, research, and writing that spans over six decades. He has held academic positions at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) (retired as professor and director of the School of Social Sciences); the University of Delhi (ARSD College); the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU); and Ranchi University (GLA College, Daltonganj).
