Introduction

This book answers two simple questions: what is Bitcoin and why should I invest in it? One of the most frequent complaints of Bitcoin literature is its opacity and overinclusion of coding or other language that prevents it from resonating with the average investor. This book is simple in its construction and written in a manner that is accessible to the lay investor. My hope is that this book serves as a starting point for understanding digital assets from a portfolio management perspective. The primary source to understand any digital asset is its white paper.
