Biographies

E. Shura Pollatsek is a versatile designer whose work spans theater, dance, opera, film, and television. She has designed costumes for performances across the United States and internationally, and for National PBS television and Showtime. During a decade based in New York City, she worked for Off Broadway and Broadway productions, the Metropolitan Opera, and at many leading regional theaters.

Shura holds an MFA in Costume Design from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts and is a proud member of United Scenic Artists Local 829. She travels internationally, speaks fluent French, and dabbles in textile art.
