Ubuntu Cloud and Eucalyptus
Ubuntu Cloud on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS used Eucalyptus and Amazon’s EC2 cloud computing and S3 cloud storage platforms. It is supported until April 2015, so it retains this passing mention in this chapter. However, it is not something you should remotely consider for a new deployment, and if you find yourself working at a place that is still running this, they will have instructions and documentation on their setup. It isn’t worth covering any further here beyond this note that you may encounter this being used for another year or two.
