Principles of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration
M any excellent books have been written on the subject of air conditioning and refrigeration, and this chapter will only cover the basics needed to diagnose and repair the electrical portion of domestic refrigerators and room air conditioners (RACs). The chapter will cover the refrigeration process, but will not cover the replacement procedures of any sealed system components. This is a specialized area, and only an EPA-certified technician can repair the sealed system of a refrigerator or air conditioner (AC).
