Joel L. Plawsky received his B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of Michigan and his M.S.CEP and Sc.D. in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After graduation, Joel worked for Corning Inc. in their research division before returning to academia at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is currently professor of Chemical Engineering and head of the Howard P. Isermann Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering.
