We thank our institute for providing support and nice ambience to write the second edition. It was a major task that resulted in the addition of more than 50% of the pages to the first edition, and the work would not have taken this shape without the active support of students. Current Ph.D. students, Amit Bakshi, Ketan Badgujar, and Ajay Pal Singh Baghel, have contributed significantly to some of the new topics in the second edition. The efforts of Amit in proofreading the entire text are greatly appreciated. Interactions with Dr. G. B.
