Rick Dingus (b. 1951) earned his MFA from the University of New Mexico, and since the late 1970s has produced photographic landscapes that examine constructed human relations to the natural world. Instead of untouched scenes of natural beauty, Dingus uses a view camera to photograph aspects of our environment that speak to the intersections where culture and topography become inseparable.
