Keeping a well-structured trading journal is a useful way to get the learning process rolling as you develop your trader personality. The journal can work to focus your market analysis (as well as your self-analysis) at the end of the trading day. The aim is to uncover your trading patterns and, if necessary, change them. By keeping a journal, you get to put your thought and behavior patterns to the test. You self-critically ask yourself why you think and act the way you do when trading.
