Creating a Simple Nameplate for Your Office

IN THIS PART …

Use the Workplane, grid, and Basic Shapes to develop the nameplate’s baseplate.

Give the nameplate’s baseplate depth. Use the ViewCube to work on different faces, choose a shape for the indent in the baseplate, use the grid to check object positioning, pick a face to work on, and add depth.

Add your name as text. Get back to the view you need and choose your nameplate text.

Cut holes to mount the nameplate. Choose a shape for the hole in the nameplate, get the hole placement right, and use Grouping and Ungrouping to make the hole part of the nameplate.
