ONCE PERSONAS HAVE HELPED shape what you’re creating, you can move into the how: How should you organize the site? How should it work? How should the site communicate? How should it look?
When it comes to day-to-day decisions about design (I’m using design in the broadest sense here), everyone has his or her own methodologies and tools. You and your colleagues have a lot of expertise in your area, and as a result, it’s easy to revert to designing based on what you think will work, and to forget about the personas. Don’t be tempted.
