Truth 6. Seek refuge(e)
It would be easy to assume that the best recruitment talent pool would not be refugee workers. After all, they are new to this country and in an unstable, crisis-riddled phase of their lives. They may be unfamiliar with our customs, our language, and our employment practices and expectations. They might not own a car or even possess a driver’s license. They may not have worked in your industry, or maybe they’ve worked in occupations that don’t even exist in our country. They may be trying to learn many new tasks when they come to our country—from grocery shopping and cooking to finding mass transit routes and schedules, to completing necessary paperwork required by our government.
