Making Arrangements with Your Subjects
Documentary filmmakers often have to be flexible and “on call” as their story develops. Be mindful of the fact that your subject is accommodating you into their personal/professional life and you will often have to shoot at their convenience. Try to schedule shooting or interview times and locations that are most convenient for your subject, as this will allow them to be the most relaxed.
