Down and Dirty Widescreen

Many 4 : 3 aspect ratio cameras don’t offer a 16 : 9 widescreen mode. And many of those that do, offer inferior widescreen modes that simply chop off the top and bottom of the frame and 25% of your precious video resolution along with it. Here’s a simple method that will allow you to get a widescreen aspect ratio using any 4 : 3 camera.
