Asian success stories
Abstract:
A number of Asian economies, including Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Singapore have achieved substantial economic growth and success in reducing poverty despite having to overcome difficulties. While each success story in Asia is unique, in each case both the private and public sectors were involved in growing the economy. A number of very successful and innovative companies, such as Sony, Samsung and Acer, have played a key role in economic development in each of these countries. There are a number of lessons to be learned from these successful examples.
