Summary

There are limits and disadvantages even to humility. Many of these can either be circumvented or are actually par of course. Nevertheless, it is important to know that in some situations the positive effects of humility can be counteracted by oneself, by others or the prevailing culture. Where humility is not genuine, where employees feel too far removed from the manager, where competence is lacking or a different image is important, there it may be difficult to express some elements of humility.
