In Chapter 2 there was a special kind of framing that I called “Just.” There’s an equivalent in the world of photographing action, and it’s all about precision timing and knowing the exact position of a subject that’s on its way through the air. I’ve always thought there are two good possible moments in a trajectory. One is when the thing is just about to reach its destination (an object crashing to the ground, for example), and the other is the “still point.” They work in different ways, but they both share the mid-air idea.
