6 Comparing the Literature on OD with the Evidence

The literature on OD was set out in Chapter 2, and the findings of the research study were presented in Chapters 3, 4 and 5. Part 1 of this chapter will compare these findings with the themes identified in the literature. Part 2 will analyze the findings through the lens of Institutional Theory, the Diffusion of Management Ideas and Fashions and Fads in Management. Part 3 will then present a discussion on the debate of the future of the OD profession.
