When to Use a Gold Reflector
Two of the most popular colors for reflectors are silver and gold, but they are used outdoors at very different times. Reflectors take the sunlight and bounce it back toward your subject, and the light that hits your reflector is going to pick up the color of what it bounces off of. Most of the time, we use a silver reflector outdoors because the light color it bounces is kind of neutral outdoors in daylight.
