NOTES: The reason I’m standing so far back from my subject is because it allows me to shoot what kind of looks like a wide-angle shot. But, from that far back, I’m able to zoom in tight (to 180mm), which helps (with the f/2.8 f-stop) put the background nicely out of focus, creating the separation between the bride and the background. The second thing to note here is that my bride is facing the sun, which is very high in the sky (you can see it lighting most of her bouquet).
