Using a Web Site for Platform-Independent Communications
Web sites can be a good way to communicate with a wide audience. You can use FTP to retrieve files from around the world or transfer them between your own computers, and you can use email for one-on-one communication, but Web sites let you communicate with anybody interested in whatever you have to say. Web sites can also be useful on local networks as a means of distributing information when people are in or out of the office or for distributing documents that should receive wide dissemination within your organization.
