THE VOICES AND THEIR ASPECTS
Each of these seven Voices, then, represents a role of the coach. In general, the Voices increase in level of directiveness, from the Master (which is really the coach’s way of being) through the operational Voices, to the Contractor, which is very specific and concrete. This increasing directiveness also contains the seeds of attachments, and the potential for overuse, as we explore in subsequent chapters.
Each Voice also encompasses several more specific functions that I refer to as Aspects. The Voices and their Aspects are laid out in
Exhibit 3.1.
