Preface to the Second Edition
The first edition of this book was well received, and since its publication I received a lot of feedback and questions about its content. When I began considering a second edition, I knew that a key element had to be the treatment of dielectric materials. After I started working on the new material, it became apparent that to accomplish this goal I would have to re-write a significant amount of the existing material.
