Chapter 12 Student-alumni–industry mentoring programs
Introduction
This chapter responds to the interest of colleges and universities as well as professional societies, nonprofit organizations, and corporate leadership programs in alumni and industry mentoring programs. These programs are workplace mentoring programs. Alumni mentoring programs are unique in their requirement that the mentor has graduated from the organization or program in which the mentee is enrolled or is interested in attending. For example, alumni of leadership initiatives may be asked to mentor emerging leaders in such initiatives.
