Why Study Accounting?
I took my first accounting class as part of my undergraduate minor program. I was not going to become an accountant, but I had always been curious what the field entailed and was excited to learn more. At the time I did not know what a weed-out class was, but after just a few weeks of this accounting course I became very familiar with the term. A weed-out class is one that is purposely difficult within a major to help weed out prospective students who are just not suited to the field.
