The EDR is made up of a group of employees appointed to review the decisions of management. This formal process is usually put into practice when a terminated employee challenges the action by presenting his or her case to the EDR board. To resolve an issue like this management grants authority and defines the scope of the EDR, usually limiting it to issues involving wages, hours, and working conditions.
