8. Disks and Networking
No computer is an island, and you will frequently find yourself needing to move files from one computer to another. Mac OS X has many options for connecting storage devices to a Mac, and connecting to other computers over a network, whether a local network or the Internet. You can also easily burn a CD or DVD to move files around.
Snow Leopard treats all volumes (mounted drives) more or less the same, whether they directly attach to a port, connect over a local network or the Internet, or mount in a CD or DVD drive.
