PDCA and A3

The starting point for implementing lean is to understand the current condition to be improved. Therefore, there are a number of ways that can be performed. First, we should understand the broad framework. This broad framework is called as PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, and Act/Adjust). PDCA provides the steps to be implemented as a whole in lean, but we put it in this section because understanding the current condition is the initial part of PDCA. Result of PDCA is manifested into A3 files. This file includes PDCA outlines. In identifying current condition, A3 contains identification of waste which consists of eight types.
