You’ll Want a Ballhead
Over the years, I’ve used every contraption you can think of to mount my camera on top of a tripod—everything from pistol grips to gimbals to pan-and-tilt heads. But, for landscape photography (and about everything else, as well), there’s nothing easier to use, or more precise, than a ballhead. They come in all shapes, sizes, and prices.
