Extending Your Tripod’s Legs

When we’re using a tripod (which is often), our goal is always maximum stability, and if it gets even the least bit windy, we want to make sure we’re using the thickest, sturdiest legs our tripod has. That might mean that in kinda windy situations, we don’t extend those little, thin legs at the bottom of our tripod at all, so we’re only using the thicker, sturdier legs. This means that your tripod won’t be up quite as high, and depending on which make and model you have, you might have to bend over a little to take your shot.
