A. Select the most useful concepts and formulate and adhere to new expectations.
All the Golden Nuggets within these pages are purposefully designed to make the best even better at increasing revenue and productivity while decreasing frustration and stress. The key is to use the concepts by creating new expectations with them. This will lead to an evolution of positive culture change.
Expectation setting and monitoring are essential for personal and organizational growth. The formula for success is as follows:
- Write a list of expectations you want to be part of your team and corporate culture. A good way to determine new expectations is to ask yourself what should be done differently. Should is a key word here.
- Catch yourself when you think or say, they should know better or we shouldn’t be doing this anymore. I call this the “should factor.” Notice it and add anything you say “should” about to your expectation list.
- Once a master expectation list has been developed for everyone to strive for, add a specific expectation section listing additional expectations for each individual based on his or her skill level and background.
- General Expectations: A general expectation list is best when created in a brainstorming session with your team. Have the team contribute most of the items. Write the expectations on a white board. Once the team has exhausted their own list, add anything ...
