The Framing Composition Technique
What’s the first thing we do when we get a print made for somebody (or even for ourselves)? We put it in a frame. We love looking at things inside a frame, and we can use this when composing our photos by finding a frame for an image to appear inside. For example, take a look at the image above, which was shot through a window opening, and it‘s composed so you see the sides of the window frame. This nicely “frames up” the subject (putting your image inside something). Shots that are composed inside a frame like this are usually an instant hit with the people viewing them.
