Actually, there are benefits to both, and while the iPhone supports RAW images, the iPhone’s Camera app doesn’t let you shoot in RAW, unless you have a 12 Pro, Pro Max or newer (see the next page for shooting in Apple’s ProRAW format with these models). If you don’t have a model that supports shooting in RAW, you have to use the built-in camera in an app like Adobe’s Lightroom Photo Editor (shown above), Photoshop Camera, VSCO, Darkroom, or Snapseed.
