Check Your Email While You’re On the Phone
If you’re in a really boring phone conversation, and you want to do what everybody else in the world does—check your email—it makes things easier if you start by tapping the Speaker button (so you can still hear your conversation while you’re looking at the touchscreen). Then, press the Home button, and tap Mail. Don’t worry—your call will stay live even though you’re doing something completely different.
