The management team and board should create a strong company reputation along with having domain expertise in the product, customer, market, and industry. The team should be synergistic, and they can take their concept to market. Investors have found these are the qualities of successful companies.
Conversely, weak companies can have very disruptive members, family members, or friends in the company. Some companies have had difficult former employees or shareholders with significant legal or financial issues.
