Are we dead yet?

Death within social networks, as previously articulated, is not new. At the end of the last chapter I had reached a point of disdain regarding social networks. Feelings of contempt can leave the user contemplating the removal of their digital presence from social networks altogether. This chapter focuses on the user’s choice to become digitally dead. Moving on from suicide, this chapter commences by first looking at how social networks are used to immortalise those users who have died offline.
