Life Force and Sleepwalker
Have you ever had the experience of meeting someone who immediately blew you away? He or she was so dynamic, dramatic, exciting, high, wild and crazy, or brilliant that everyone else in the room or on the street became instantly invisible and the spotlight shone on him alone. Or her. This is a Life Force character.
My friend and one-time collaborator, playwright Marc Acito, teaches a class in writing Musical Comedies. In it he uses the term “Life Force” characters for a particular set of powerful, energetic people. I call their counterparts (and perfect mates according to love story physics) the Sleepwalkers.
